An Obama dream

Help me out, armchair shrinks...what does this dream about my chosen candidate mean?

I dreamed that Barack and Michelle Obama invited us over to their place for dinner. Dinner was newspaper with maple syrup on it.

What does eating newspaper at the Obamas mean?

Clearly you believe the Obamas and the press to be involved in some sort of conspiracy to bring about Canadian domination.

You think that the media is is slanted toward Obama and that their fawning coverage (syrup) is going to help win Obama the presidency?

You are worried that so far Obama is only providing a message of hope and pleasentness and as of yet is not providing concrete , substantial plans that the public "can chew on and digest." (In truth so am I, but I have NO doubt he eventually will.)

You are implicitly associating the potential for an Obama loss with the "syrupy sweet" of Langston Hughes' famous "dream deferred."

That, or you have a serious, serious man-crush.

My vote is for man-crush. I ABSOLUTELY have a non-sexual man-crush on Obama. And I am devouring what he's got to say. Hell, I just finished his book, and bought every word...

which is why I was surprised at this perhaps-negative dream...

Still easily explained. Your superego is trying to take down your id.

I think the syrup represents some unfulfilled sexual longing.

Wait. That was from my dream the other night.

Never mind.

Definitely media sugar-coating dude. As much as we like him, we know it's true.
