How did the "flea flicker" get its name?
I've found three different attributions for inventing the play (Heisman, Stagg, and Zuppke), which is interesting enough...but I want to know who came up with the name. Can't figure out why it's called what it is, and not even Wikipedia knows. (Indeed, Wikipedia has a minor error in it I might clear up.)

I asked my resident football guru (my husband) and he's stumped. Where's Keith Jackson when we need him?
Thanks for the flowers. I sent Swankette an e-mail....very thoughtful...
According to Tim Considine in "The Language of Sport" (1982), "Innovative 1920s Illinois coach Bob Zuppke is given credit for developing the first flea-flicker play (a pass followed by a lateral)."
I couldn't find it on the Internet either.
Geez. Not even BOOKS tell us how it got its name?
